5.2 magnitude earthquake hits Greek Island of Euboea

(MENAFN) A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Euboea early Tuesday, shaking the Greek capital Athens, officials confirmed.

The quake occurred at 12:30 a.m. local time (2130 GMT Monday), about 45 kilometers (28 miles) northeast of Athens, the National Observatory’s Institute of Geodynamics reported.

Authorities said there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
