Worldwide Protests Erupt Against US-Israeli Actions on Iran

(MENAFN) Massive rallies opposing the U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran took place in cities around the world over the weekend, with estimates suggesting that roughly 8 million people participated in over 3,300 demonstrations, as stated by reports.

In the United States, tens of thousands gathered in major cities on Saturday, including Washington, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, with more than 900,000 participants nationwide, marking the largest single-day protest in U.S. history.

In Manhattan, New York City, demonstrators marched along Seventh Avenue, spanning more than 10 blocks, chanting slogans and displaying signs that read "No ICE," "NO Kings," and "No Wars." In Washington, D.C., protesters congregated outside the Lincoln Memorial and marched onto the National Mall, holding placards reading "Regime change begins at home" and "Defend Our Constitution," while ringing bells, beating drums, and chanting "No Kings!"

Local authorities also reported smaller but notable gatherings in traditionally conservative areas, including Midland, Texas, and Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

The anti-war sentiment extended internationally, with demonstrations held in Portugal, Greece, Japan, France, Britain, and Italy. In Porto, Portugal, about 200 Americans gathered in front of City Hall to voice their opposition to U.S. policies, highlighting the global reach of the protests.
